Heat sign second round pick Josh Richardson to three-year deal

Josh Richardson has agreed to sign for the Miami Heat on a 3-year, $2.5 million rookie deal on Tuesday, according to sources.

The Heat held a press conference after the National Basketball Association Draft to officially introduce Richardson, a rare move for a second round pick, and immediately began selling his Heat jersey at their official store.

For Miami, utilizing Richardson to his full potential is key as they will not have a pick in either round of the 2016 National Basketball Association draft.

According to studies, the deal is assured for the primary yr and the second is partially assured with the third yr as a group choice.

Richardson averaged 11.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.6 assists in 10 summer league games in Las Vegas and Orlando – performing between both guard positions. However, Richardson likely won’t make an impact right away in Miami’s crowded backcourt, so he can be ignored outside of deeper leagues.

As a senior at Tennessee, Richardson had averages of 16 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
