The thirst was real.
A McDonald’s customer has been charged with robbery after he emptied a cup of water and filled it up with soda from a machine in a restaurant in Arkansas. Once inside, they dumped out the water and began filling the cups with soda. The manager tried to stop the group from leaving but he was hit by their vehicle.
The story could have ended there but the manager was having none of it.
Police say two other people did the same but returned the soda when confronted by the McDonald’s manager.
Morris was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on a felony robbery charge and is scheduled to appear in court Friday, KHBS/KHOG reports. That is when the manager’s hand was hit by the vehicle. This person then tried to wrench the keys out of the ignition; the driver struck him.
The vehicle, with Morris inside, was located immediately. Morris and his soda were later apprehended at a nearby bowling alley. The police explained that, too.
The suspect was one of three people who asked for water at a Drive-Thru window in Springdale, Arkansas.

Police explained on Facebook that “the theft became a robbery when the alleged suspect allegedly used force to resist apprehension by the store employees”.
