Emmanuel Adebayor set for Aston Villa medical, loan move imminent
“He is an experienced player who has played in La Liga and Serie A, two of the strongest leagues in Europe, and from speaking to him I know he can’t wait to play for Aston Villa”.

Aston Villa are in transfer talks with former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov.
Should Adebayor seal his move to Villa he will become the club’s eighth signing of the summer, following Scott Sinclair, Micah Richards, Mark Bunn, Jordan Amavi, Idrissa Gueye, Jordan Ayew and Jose Angel Crespo.
“They need a top striker now because they sold Christian Benteke to Liverpool“, the source continued.
“He knows the Premier League inside out, so he would be a good addition for us”. His family also prefers England and this could be his last chance to play there.’.
Adebayor was said to be at Villa’s Bodymoor Heath training ground on Tuesday and Goal understands he is ready to secure a loan deal, with the Midlands club paying his wages in full.
Sherwood managed Adebayor at Tottenham and the striker scored 14 goals at the end of the 2013-14 season, before Sherwood left White Hart Lane.
Meanwhile, Nantes are set to honour 22-year-old midfielder Veretout’s wishes by allowing him to join Villa instead of Leicester City.
“But would I trust Emmanuel Adebayor?”
“That is my worry about Emmanuel Adebayor – that he will turn up when he wants to and won’t bother when he doesn’t want to”.

“The medical hasn’t been done up to now but we are just waiting upon that”.
