Activists gather in Reading to protest Planned Parenthood
Several dozen activists converged on Planned Parenthood of Virginia’s location in the Fan District Saturday morning in protest of the organization. It marked his first public appearance in his hometown region since he released the videos last summer that sparked a national outcry over whether Planned Parenthood was selling aborted fetuses. Missouri State Senator Will Kraus is expected to make comments. Supporters of Planned Parenthood gathered to show their displeasure with Schaefer. Numerous protesters wore yellow t-shirts, printed with messages like “Choose love” and “I speak for those who can’t”. Those documents include fetal tissue disposal policies and written protocols for abortions.

The event was just one of 13 similar protests held across OH and was part of a nationwide effort to bring pressure on Congress to pass legislation to take federal dollars away from Planned Parenthood, which provides health services for women, including abortions at some locations.
Harris agreed last summer to investigate claims that Daleiden and his organization, the Irvine-based Center for Medical Progress, violated state law by recording people without their permission and filing paperwork to form a phony entity.
“They’re motivated by a financial agenda of abortion”, Executive Director of the St. Joseph County Right to Life Jeanette Burdell said.
