Dwyane Wade did not see an offensive outburst like what the Heat have put up in its first two playoff games coming, nor is he counting on it continuing.

Defense for the Hornets has been a big issue so far in this series.

With the first round of the National Basketball Association playoffs nearing its halfway point, much has played out according to pre-playoff expectations, and that’s been good news for the better-seeded team in each series. Whiteside added 13 rebounds and is now shooting 17 for 19 in the series, his playoff debut.

The Miami Heat top the league in blocking, with 6.4 made per game.

What: Eastern Conference first round, Game 3. If it doesn’t work, Clifford can always go back to Walker isolations and players holding on to the ball for five-six seconds while no one else moves around or dumping the ball into the paint.

He was soon ruled out for the rest of the game. The team says they owe a lot of those victories to fans, with 13 sell-out crowds this year and an average of more than 17,000 fans for all games. In the regular season, he averaged over three blocks per game.

Before Miami took control in the 2nd quarter, the game was fairly even, thanks largely to Jefferson’s dominance in the post. There are reasons to have some hope.

Oklahoma City at Dallas Mavericks, 7 p.m. ET, TNT (series tied 1-1): There’s a better chance of Charlie Villanueva and Russell Westbrook getting together for a dance number than Kevin Durant missing 26 shots again. Still, let’s look at some positives. Charlotte allowed two 40-point quarters in the entire regular season. It’s the exact counter punch that the Heat needed. Goran Dragic and Joe Johnson also shot better than 50 percent, each scoring 18 and 8 points, respectively.

The Charlotte Hornets didn’t have a very good night in Miami last night. Of course, it’s hard to grab offensive rebounds when you’re already making 57.9% of your shots from the field.

TRAINER’S ROOM: Celtics starting guard Avery Bradley is out for the next two playoff games against the Hawks with a right hamstring injury. A hostile environment might be just enough for the Heat to slow down a bit.

“Looking at his ankle now, it’s pretty bad … guys will have to be ready to play and fill in some big shoes”. With Batum likely missing the series, it may seem impossible. If they can’t win the series, they can at least win one game and keep some of their pride.
