Madrid and City have met twice before, with Los Blancos winning once and drawing the remaining game when they were paired in the group stages of the competition in 2012-13.
After leaving Paris with two away goals, following the teams’ 2-2 draw in the first leg, Manchester City tagged PSG 1-0 in front of a packed home crowd at the Etihad Stadium, with Belgian forward Kevin De Bruyne netting the curler in the second half.
Meanwhile, German champions Bayern Munich were given the tough task of breaking down Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid in the other semifinals.
Cristiano Ronaldo, unsurprisingly, was the hero for Real on Tuesday night as he nearly single-handedly overhauled a 2-0 deficit against Wolfsburg with a brilliant Bernabeu hat-trick.

10-time champions Real will hope to reclaim the Champions League trophy that they conceded last season to Barcelona, having won the famous La Decima in the 2013/14 final against city rivals Atletico. “Atletico Madrid have shown we are strong enough to go into this series of games, and we will keep showing the same strength we have shown all season”.
The four final team had already shown what they are capable of.
“No extra motivation for me (because of my history at Real Madrid)”, he said.
The semifinals are due to take place on April 28 and May 5, while the final in Basel is on May 18.
City boss Pellegrini was sacked by Real in 2010 after a season in charge and is ready to take the ultimate revenge on his old club by dumping them out of Europe.
“But the most important thing was that we didn’t win a title but in Real Madrid it’s very hard – 75 per cent of supporters wanted me to stay”.

“Guardiola knows our league very well and they have Spanish players like Javi Martinez, Xabi Alonso, Bernat and Thiago who also know it”, Atletico sports director Jose Caminero said.
