Prince death: No sign of foul play

REMEMBERING HIS PURPLE HIGHNESSCities, celebrities and music lovers across the country were shocked when news broke Thursday that legendary artist Prince had died at age 57. They went over to the house to find him unresponsive on the first floor of the house in the elevator.

On Friday, medical experts in Minnesota performed Prince’s autopsy.

“It could be days, depending on the type of test, and most likely weeks to have the complete set of results available to us”, Weaver said.

Additionally, Olson confirmed there were “no obvious signs of trauma on the body” and said there is “no reason to believe this was a suicide”.

Jim Olson, the Carver County Sheriff, opened the press conference by saying that the investigation would continue with some emphasis on Prince’s personal prviacy.

Asked whether Prince’s flight made such a landing at the Quad City Airport in Moline, public safety manager Jeff Patterson said Friday that a private Falcon 900 plane made a “medical diversion landing” at 1:17 a.m. on April 15.

The cast of Broadway’s “The Color Purple” sang “Purple Rain” for the audience in a tribute.

The world is still reeling from the death of Prince Rogers Nelson, the multi-platinum-selling music legend who transcended genres as he brought the MTV generation into new realms of creativity.

He was last seen at about 8pm Wednesday night, local time, and was found unconscious by some of his staff at about 9.30am the next morning.

The medical examiner’s office said it “will not release information until the exam is complete and all results are obtained”. He was found slumped in a lift at his Paisley Park home recording studio on Thursday morning.

Prince’s half-brother Maurice Phillips and bassist Larry Graham spoke to media and fans gathered outside, thanking them for their support.

“The Prince I know was super-healthy, vegan, wasn’t an abuser of drugs, wasn’t an abuser of alcohol”, Reid said.

Prince’s death has come as a shock to fans. He rested for a little while before performing in what would be his final concert the next week in Atlanta. Three people were at Paisley Park when authorities arrived, he said.
