The Winter Classic is set for January 1 at 1:00 p.m. ET and will air on NBC.
The home of the Patriots and Revolution will host the return of outdoor hockey on New Year’s Day.
Besides just the Winter Classic, Gary Bettmen also stated that the Bruins Canadiens alumni game will take place December 31st and that there will be all access with both teams leading up to the event.
“After more than nine decades and more than 900 regular-season or playoff games between these great rivals, the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens will add to the legend of their competition in a unique way”, Bettman said.
The Boston Bruins haven’t launched the jerseys they may put on at this yr’s Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium towards the Montreal Canadiens but, however they’ve given followers a sneak peek of the brand they may use.
“When you think about sports franchises with traditions of excellence and success, the Boston Bruins, the Montreal Canadiens and the New England Patriots would have to rank at the top of any list”, said Bettman. There was no better rivalry to have than these two teams.
