Eagles acquire No. 2 overall pick from Browns

Bradford began dealing with it Wednesday after the Eagles sent a package of draft picks to the Cleveland Browns in order to move up. In exchange for the Cleveland Browns second overall pick in next week’s draft fest, the Philadelphia Eagles also receive the fourth-rounder selection for next year’s draft.

The Cleveland Browns have the first pick on the second day of the NFL Draft.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Eagles are now listed with 60/1 odds to win Super Bowl LI next season while the Browns have 200/1 odds to win it all.

The Rams are expected to draft a quarterback, either Cal’s Jared Goff or North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz.

Clemson’s Deshaun Watson is going to be one of the top quarterbacks in the 2017 draft.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford gets sacked.

The last time the Eagles drafted a quarterback in the first round was 1999 when Andy Reid took Donovan McNabb at No. 2.

The two deals aren’t tremendously different, but it’s easy to see that the Titans were keyed in on getting a pair of 2nd round picks this year.

To that I would say, what part of the two-year, “we don’t want you to be our long-term starter because you aren’t that good, but you’ll keep us out of the basement temporarily” contract did he not understand when he signed it? But they also knew about the possibility that the Eagles could try to trade up for a franchise quarterback. Could whatever ammunition they pick up in such a trade be used to bump their No. 32 selection up a few spots so the club has two “true” first-rounders?

The choice is simple because the Eagles won’t have to make it. The Los Angeles Rams have the No. 1 pick after a blockbuster trade with Tennessee. Kroenke says Rams coach Jeff Fisher and General Manager Les Snead made the call, and they have a track record that makes Kroenke think they know what they’re doing.

The Browns get: The No. 8 pick in 2016, the No. 77 pick (third round) in 2016, the No. 100 pick (fourth round) in 2016, a 2017 first-rounder and a 2018 second-rounder. Now, they want ANOTHER quarterback. “Even if you take (a quarterback) at No. 1 or 2, it’s not like you’ve solved it”.

Brown said the team already has four quarterbacks who will be competing for the starting position – including the newly-signed former Heisman trophy victor Robert Griffin III.
