Trump tightens grip on US Republican race
The data may not reflect all of the smaller donations to campaigns because the Federal Elections Commission does not break those out by state, but they are aggregated in national fundraising figures.

The Republican presidential primary candidates are gearing up to aggressively court delegates in Pennsylvania, with just days to go before voters will pick dozens of them to go unbound to any specific 2016 hopeful at the convention. Most polls show Trump leading comfortably on all fronts.
MITCHELL: Now, you can win every delegate race left, including California, and because of her lead you won’t have narrowed the gap enough for you to win. Candidates require 1,237 delegates to win the nomination. “To hell with this”, said Trump, who has 845 delegates to his kitty.
Though Mr. Trump, a NY native, and he and Mr. Cox have been cozy of late, the Republican leader irked the incendiary billionaire when he refused to clear a path for him in the 2014 NY governor’s race. “At this point, nobody is getting 1,237”, Cruz told Philadelphia radio host Chris Stigmal on 20 April. New York, which hadn’t voted when the most recent set of surveys was conducted, makes up another significant chunk.
On Pennsylvania’s primary ballot are 162 people who are running to be a GOP convention delegate.
The Maine GOP is meeting to elect delegates to the national convention before Gov. Paul LePage delivers closing remarks at the state meeting in Bangor.
Hillary Clinton said Saturday that she doesn’t believe that Donald Trump is just playing a political part as he campaigns for president, with his hard line on immigration and other issues.
“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity”, another said. As she narrowed Sanders’ dwindling opportunities to catch up, Clinton continued to build on her overwhelming support among superdelegates – the party officials who are free to back any candidate they choose.
Many delegate candidates are relatively anonymous, and some are better-known officeholders. “(Sanders) said she suffers from bad judgement and she said – now I don’t know, I think she’s qualified, I guess. “I will follow the guidance of the Kasich campaign, and my conscience, and I will vote on that basis with whatever combination of candidates is presented”.
“Our projections call for us to accumulate over 1,400 delegates and thus a first ballot nomination win in Cleveland”, the internal memo was quoted as saying.

Do a little better than that, and Clinton can reasonably expect to clinch the nomination by June 7 – before the first votes are even counted in California.
