Sheriff’s deputies and medics were sent to Paisley Park sometime around 9:43 a.m. local time, USA Today reports.
Dispatcher: 911, where is your emergency? Yeah we need an ambulance right now. An unidentified caller who said he was at “Prince’s house” initially tells the dispatcher that he has “someone who is unconscious” before saying “the person is dead here”, The Associated Press reports.
UM: Um, we’re at Prince’s house.
UM: Yeah, yeah, okay, hold on. “On behalf of the National Basketball Association family, I want to say how sorry we are for his family and his millions of fans”.

It’s not until later in the conversation that the caller identifies Prince as the deceased party, but he tells the operator earlier in the conversation, “And the people are just distraught”. When the dispatcher asks the man if he knows how the singer died, he replies: “I don’t know, I don’t know”.
