Three (wrecks) is not a charm for Kyle Busch at Bristol
“You’ve got somebody that’s making all those calls, and I’ve been there – same thing in football”. Thanks to Sprint and Cessna and all the folks that make this happen.

“It’s really awesome to have a win so we can really have fun and focus on the championship”. “That’s just so cool”. On the restart, Busch took the lead from Truex with 33 to go and never looked back recording his second career Cup win at the Fort Worth track.
One of the best things NASCAR’s done in years is move Bristol’s race date from March to mid-April. Earnhardt was two laps down when he resumed his race, but fought his way back to the front.
“I’m really, really happy with being with Dave”, Edwards said.
“Not a day we were hoping for”, he said. “We had about a 10th-place auto”. They did just that on the final restart, and pulled away to get the victory. We had a really fast vehicle.
Busch wound up third, while rookie Chase Elliott and Trevor Bayne finished fourth and fifth respectively. He lost two laps in the pits with some loose lug nuts.
“I considered not doing it”, he said.
Kenseth cut a right front tire and hit the wall to bring out the caution, while Hamlin sustained right front damage after hitting another auto on pit road. And we just kept working on it. And there’s nothing more that I could have gotten out of the vehicle.
The driver of the No. 19 Toyota was the only Joe Gibbs Racing driver that didn’t run into trouble Sunday at the Bristol short track. This team doesn’t quit. And they told me if it started hurting more to go on and get checked completely, because they didn’t have X-rays there.
Busch, who won the last two Sprint Cup races, blew two right-front tires during the race.
“Missing what I missed a year ago and being out of the race auto as long as I was, I think I’ve certainly given fact to the matter that I love racing”, said Busch, who turns 31 on May 2. The first one was a little confusing. Regan Smith 38. Kyle Busch 39.
“We didn’t have any trouble, and really it’s just a testament to everybody at the shop and our whole team”.
TIRED OF BAD LUCK: Kenseth, a four-time Bristol victor, was dominating the early stages of the race when he had a flat tire and hit the wall. His efforts were finally put out of their misery when he hit the wall on lap 260 and headed to the garage.
Carl Edwards led the field to the green flag for the 500 lap race, and was able to keep his nose out front for a majority of the event. He finished only 258 laps en route to a 38th-place finish.
“It was a great race for us”, said Edwards.
“And I’m not just saying this because he won this race, but he’s already like a brother”.
It’s not too hard to figure out which player on this team is the most even keeled and where the team philosophy starts.
California-native Matt DiBenedetto finished a career-high sixth, just ahead of Kevin Harvick, who led once for 13 laps and came home seventh.
Nico Rosberg of Mercedes captured the Chinese Grand Prix easily on Sunday to extend his ideal start to the Formula One season and become just the fourth driver in history to win six straight races.
On day filled with nervous tension, it was appropriate Carl Edwards felt a little apprehensive performing his customary backflip in the aftermath of Sunday’s win at Bristol Motor Speedway.
