Mayor Bill De Blasio takes heat for skit being called offensive, racist
During an appearance alongside “Hamilton” cast member Leslie Odom Jr. and Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton at a black tie event with influential journalists and politicos in the Big Apple this past Saturday, the mayor was teased for taking his sweet time to endorse the former NY senator. Last week, Clinton’s highest-profile New York City supporter, Mayor Bill de Blasio, blasted the controversial trade deal at a City Hall rally. De Blasio formerly worked as Clinton’s campaign manager during her 2000 Senate run.

“There are a lot of things I could ask you of global, national, state and city importance, but would you just fix these MetroCard slots in the Subway?”. “It was a scripted show”, de Blasio said during an interview on CNN. “It took me like five swipes”.
‘I mean you’ve got to fix that. You don’t have to worry about horses anymore.
Hillary’s line was meant to clarify what de Blasio meant by “C.P. time”.
The Inner Circle show is a tradition dating back to 1923.
Meanwhile, City Hall remains mired in unanswered questions about the special deal that let another donor sell a nursing home for luxury condos over community objections, netting a $72 million profit.

“I won’t be happy til his dreams are dead”. De Blasio is married to a Black woman and spoke about how his mixed-race teenage son, who has strong Black features and wears an Afro, has been racially profiled by NYPD in the past. But instead of exchanging shots from pistols, their weapons are pies.
In video of the skit, Clinton slowly turns away from de Blasio and Odom Jr., who is black, says, “That’s not – I don’t like jokes like that, Bill”.
The joke quickly led to an angry reaction on social media, with commentators criticizing Clintonand de Blasio for being insensitive to blacks.
