Costco recalls frozen peas for possible Listeria contamination
Is recalling Organic by Nature brand frozen sweet peas, which follows the detection of Listeria monocytogenes in samples analyzed by health official from Ohio.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Initial symptoms are similar to those of flu, including headaches, stiffness, muscle pains, nausea, fever and vomiting. Pregnant women, the elderly young children and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.
Listed below are details regarding the recalled items: Food Safety News is reporting that to date, no illnesses have been reported due to consumption of the recalled products.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the recall in Canada was triggered by a recall of the product in the United States.
Customers should not eat the vegetables and can return them to the store where they were purchased for a refund.
Organic by Nature brand frozen Organic Sweet Peas has been sold by Costco warehouse in locations in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. No illnesses have been reported.

All recalled items are sold in plastic bags and their Use By dates are on the back of the package.
