Fit-again Hazard ready for Chelsea return

“I was watching how is it possible?’ Chelsea being champions, losing, with all respect, to a club that had just come up to the Premier League”.

Belgium forward Eden Hazard is fit and available for Chelsea’s trip to Bournemouth on Saturday after more than a month out with a hip injury, manager Guus Hiddink said.

Fabregas took a pass in the middle of the pitch with all kinds of space and time, ultimately delivering a flawless through ball to the Spanish winger, who used some nifty footwork to find the net.

“We go into next games with nothing effectively at stake for us but if we play like we did today then, although a win is not guaranteed, the attitude means the players will do everything until the end of the season”.

“In terms of attitude they will do everything until the end of the season, and of course you know our schedule and the next game is Tottenham”. We played a side who are very good in the build-up of the game and from that they create good chances.

The only goal without the Spaniard’s fingerprints all over it was Chelsea’s fourth, Hazard’s second.

The Blues are seven points behind eighth placed Southampton, but have a game in hand, meaning they could cut the gap to four points with three games still to play.

The Blues attacked with objective and players such as Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas stepped up their performances to the level that is expected of them, something that has been a rarity in what has been a forgettable season for the London outfit.

He said: “After two defeats you have to score to win the games again and we did”.

The Stamford Bridge hero, who made more than 650 appearances as an uncompromising defender, argued his club’s meek surrender of the Premier League crown had been down to the squad’s “lost respect” for ex-boss Jose Mourinho.

“Hopefully not, I don’t want Spurs to win it!”

“He’s very light, very fresh now in training, he’s been enjoying it and making jokes”, said Hiddink. “But there has to be a good balance of players around him in the team”. “We scored four good goals and deserved to win”.

“But we don’t want as Chelsea that the season fades away, that’s what we don’t want. The players responded very well and this was an intense game”.
