Browns-Eagles trade still in play after Titans-Rams deal
Do you think the Los Angeles Rams will take one of these five players with their first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft?

If Goff is, indeed, the first pick of the draft, and if the Browns don’t like Carson Wentz, you’d have to expect there would be a lot of interest in Cleveland’s second overall pick. The ability to draft and develop worthy players is critical to the “rebuilding” argument and by trading those picks away, the Rams have effectively signaled that they intend to win now. The third-round pick the Rams are sending to the Titans in 2017 will be a compensation selection if the Rams get one, reports Pro Football Talk.
Since the 2011 draft, caps on rookie contracts have made the amount each pick receives in their first deal largely predetermined by when they are drafted. But for now, the move was a huge cost for the Rams and the Titans’ margin for error just grew significantly.
Many believed that the Rams are heading for a quarterback in the 2016 NFL Draft. It has been quite some time since they have been taken as a serious contender, but if they play their cards right they could be there soon. Suddenly, a team who picks in the early rounds who is looking for an offensive tackle, or a team who was thinking about one of the top quarterbacks in this class, has a new scenario playing out in front of them.
Making Goff’s throwing skills more impressive, per Silver, is they came in a rainstorm that he describes as being reminiscent of the climactic moment involving Tim Robbins’ character escaping from prison in The Shawshank Redemption. It really doesn’t matter which quarterback the Rams select. Both players are talented and can attract huge crowds.
“We’ve also done private workouts with Jared and with Carson already”, Fisher said. You can make a convincing case for both.
In a bit of irony, the Titans work a deal with their former head coach, Jeff Fisher. The Rams obviously needed to jump the Browns, the Titans are a team with a quarterback and little around him so to stock on depth makes a ton of sense, and boom we have a deal.

The details of the deal: The Titans send their No. 1 pick to the Rams for LA’s No. 1 (15th overall), two second-rounders (No. 43, No. 45), and a third-rounder (No. 76).
