Affleck seems like the guy everyone loves to hate but there’s no doubt that he is talented. He had not added any further information as to when the new Batman film directed by Affleck will be released.
In the mean time, Warner Bros. has many big DC tentpoles slated to come out in the coming years. He also mentioned the US$166.1 million opening weekend achievement of the ” Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” movie, where Affleck wore the Batsuit for the first time.
Affleck is also set to star in the Justice League franchise, as well as the much anticipated Suicide Squad which opens later this year. Some sites are already reprorting Tsujihara’s quote as confirmation that Affleck is officially directing the Batman solo film, but that particular aspect has yet to be confirmed. Right now, he’s got Justice League to shoot, and is wrapping up his latest directorial effort, Live By Night…
That is perhaps the same idea that was going through Affleck’s mind when he teamed up with Geoff Johns to develop what he called a “really cool script for Batman”.
No matter your opinion on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the general consensus is that Ben Affleck‘s grizzled portrayal of the Dark Knight was the best thing about it. The studio recently reserved the dates of October 5, 2018 and November 1, 2019 for two still unannounced movie, so there’s a possibility the project could nab one of those slots.

“Suicide Squad” director David Ayer and stars Will Smith and Margot Robbie were on hand as well to hype the supervillains gone straight pic, which launches on August 5 with intense footage focusing heavily on Robbie’s Harley Quinn.
