‘Avengers’ Influences ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Plot In A Big Way

The film, which had its red carpet premiere last week, has been widely celebrated by critics – much unlike the heavily pilloried “Batman v Superman”, which has pulled in more than $800 million globally despite its poor reviews.

That’s not to say that there isn’t a lot to love about “Civil War”, because there most definitely is. All the superheroes of Marvel are taking part in this upcoming movie of Captain America series. That’s…gonna leave a mark.

Set to debut this June from David Marquez and Brian Michael Bendis, Civil War II centers on a mysterious new Marvel character who has the power to predict the outcome of future events with an extremely high degree of accuracy, a la Minority Report. The plot centres around political interference in the Avengers’ activities, causing a rift between former allies Captain America and Iron Man.
