Microsoft Brings Another Keyboard to iOS

The good news is that if you have been looking forward to getting your hands on the app, the wait is over because Microsoft has officially released Word Flow for iOS.

Microsoft’s much-talked-about Word Flow keyboard is now out of testing phase and available via the App Store for anybody to download. To switch to it when typing, hit the globe icon to the left of the spacebar.

Touted as the fastest keyboard on the planet, at least it was on Windows Phone, we highly recommend that you give Word Flow Keyboard a shot on your iPhone.

It’s Microsoft’s second iOS keyboard, coming in hot on the heels of the Hub keyboard that dropped a few weeks ago. As expected, the iOS version of the app comes with a handful of themes for users to customize the keyboard with, along with the ability to speed up one-handed texting with its unique “Arc mode”.

Word Flow also lets you set backgrounds behind your keyboard, including ones that are built into the app or your own photos. There are eight images included right now, but Microsoft says that it’ll keep adding more. In my limited tests, the one-handed mode was helpful for typing on my iPhone 6s Plus one handed and the predictive input was solid, though it didn’t seem to recognize its own name, failing to capitalize “flow” in the screenshots above.
