Audi TT RS makes its debut at Beijing motor show
Audi has yet to confirm the official price of the new TT Coupe and Roadster, though both should come in at around £50,000 when they go on sale in the United Kingdom around autumn. There’s also aero side skirts, a neat rear diffuser, and various silver highlights in traditional Audi RS form.

Audi’s rolling out a new variant, the TT RS, and just one look at the auto shows that either this is no hairdresser’s vehicle, or you have the coolest stylist in the world (and you might be paying too much for that haircut).
The new engine will pack a 395bhp punch and have a claimed 0-62mph time of 3.7sec.
The TT RS Roadster is the first all-new model to have its premiere here in the United Kingdom, acknowledging the fact that this market is the largest worldwide in terms of overall TT sales, accounting for almost 50% of all European orders.
The coupe version of the new TT RS will be able to sprint from zero to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds, which is just two tenths of a second slower than the latest standard Audi R8. The TT RS Roadster meanwhile tips the scales at 3,373 pounds, with its cloth top able to retract in 10 seconds and operable at up to 31 miles per hour. Top speed is governed to 155 miles per hour as standard but can be raised to 174 miles per hour upon request. This is 0.4sec quicker than the old TT RS Plus with a dual-clutch gearbox and 0.5sec inside the time Porsche quotes for the new 345bhp turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder powered Cayman S. And the exhaust has a special flap that can make the TT RS louder or quieter on demand.
In keeping with its sporty status, the TTRS gets a stiffer sports suspension system that puts it 10mm lower to the ground and buyers can opt for Audi’s Sports Suspension Plus with adjustable damping. A multifunction steering wheel with 2 satellite buttons for Audi drive select system and engine push start button are also on offer along with MMI navigation plus and MMI touch features which are offered as options.

The current-generation Audi TT has won plenty of praise for its copious technology and mature styling, but enthusiasts still want more. Also available are optional OLED (organic light emitting diode) tail-lights each consisting of four elements, the largest of which features the TT logo and Audi’s four-ring emblem.
