Furthermore, Olson added that there were no obvious signs of trauma to his body and that, at this time, there’s no reason to believe this was suicide.

He revealed Prince had been fully clothed when he was found, and had no mobile phone near him to call for help.
Deputies went through the house and it appeared Prince was alone in his residence at the time of his death. He opened with a statement: “Welcome, I wish it was under different circumstances, to you he was a celebrity, to us he was a community member and a good neighbor, to his family he was a loved one, in life he was a very private person, we will continue to respect that”.
– The autopsy on Prince began at 9 a.m. Friday and was completed by 1 p.m., the Midwest Medical Examiners Office in Ramsey, Minnesota.
Prince’s family has been cooperative in the investigation, which will be “meticulous”, he said. Prince previously had spoken about struggling with childhood epilepsy and friends said he had hip trouble.
Billboard reports that a ceremony took place yesterday (Saturday, April 23) after a private memorial service held at Prince’s Paisley Park.
Olson also noted, “He was collapsed inside the elevator” and that Prince was last seen at about 8 p.m. (CT) on Wednesday night in Paisley Park. He was pronounced deceased at 10:07 am.
At a press conference on Saturday morning (NZ time) the Carver County Sheriff said an autopsy had been completed and Prince’s body returned to his family.
Tributes have continued to pour in for the singer, with Eric Clapton crediting Prince with helping him escape a “massive downward spiral with drink and drugs” after he saw Purple Rain.
Officials with the medical examiner’s office say gathering the results of the autopsy will take several days – and a full toxicology scan could take weeks.
“I’m the same age as Prince”, said Olson when asked if he was a fan of the superstar, “I like Prince’s music”.
The Carver County sheriff’s office has released the transcript of the 911 call that was placed when Prince was found unresponsive.
Lars Larson, a 37-year-old Minneapolis man who had worked security for Prince and at Paisley Park events for about six years on and off, said he was at the same dance party.
TMZ reported last week that Prince’s flight made an emergency landing early April 15 in Moline, Illinois, where he was briefly hospitalized.

Writing on Facebook, the actor said: “Jada & I mourn with all of you the loss of a lovely poet, a true inspiration, and one of the most magnificent artists to ever grace this earth”. On Thursday, a report released by TMZ said that Prince was treated for an opiate overdose.
