Nathan Fillion’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 role revealed
Fillion also cameoed in Guardians of the Galaxy as the voice of the unnamed blue alien that Rocket and Groot confront in prison.

As you can see by clicking through the gallery below, Fillion is going to be playing Simon Williams, a character better known to comic book fans as the heroic Wonder Man.
So, what’s with all the movie posters featuring Simon Williams in the leaked set photos courtesy of ComicBook.com?
Obviously Fillion is playing an actor, but it’s the name of that actor that has comics fans excited.
In the Marvel comics, the character, created by Stan Lee and artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby back in 1964, was a former member of the Masters of Evil led by Baron Zemo. He also joined the Avengers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will soar into movie theaters with a whole new mix tape on May 5, 2017. We haven’t heard anything about Wonder Man appearing in a Marvel movie, but he could be one of the 67 characters showing up in Infinity War. The titles of these movies, at least one in particular, seem to indicate that this film festival is taking place on Earth.
And, as you can see, Pratt’s really working those sideburns we see in the first instalment of the comedy sci-fi, but unfortunately we don’t get to see the actor in his on-screen gear, which would’ve been cool. It’s enough to make your nose bleed.

First spotted by a Reddit user, the cameo is referenced via mock movie posters documenting Simon Williams’ retirement from villainy, before seeking out a career in acting. Does that mean whoever the new villain in Guardians of the Galaxy decides to turn their eye on Earth? We’ll have to wait and see.
