The world is still reeling from the death of Prince Rogers Nelson, the multi-platinum-selling music legend who transcended genres as he brought the MTV generation into new realms of creativity.
Prince’s family is keeping the final storage location of his remains private.
Noel-Schure added that family of the late musician, along with his friends and fellow musicians, got together Saturday for a private memorial service for Prince, who passed away at his home in Minneapolis on Thursday. On the day of his death, Prince sold over 230,000 albums and one million singles in the US, according to BuzzAngle Music, a site dedicated to tracking daily music sales.
The spokeswoman, in line with statements from authorities, said that at least four weeks would be needed for results of the autopsy conducted before the cremation.
“I was with him just last weekend”.
A statement was released shortly after the ceremony took place from publicist Anna Meachem which read, “A few hours ago, Prince was celebrated by a small group of his most beloved: family, friends and his musicians, in a private, handsome ceremony to say a loving goodbye”. The 57-year-old singer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reuters spoke with celebrity attorney Dan Streisand who believes Prince had to have created some sort of will to indicate his last wishes, given how large his estate was. “An announcement will be made at a future date for a musical celebration”.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with Prince’s work ethic.
Fans are also leaving flowers and balloons beneath Prince’s star at the Minneapolis club First Avenue, where he filmed “Purple Rain” and performed many times.

While officials said there were no signs of trauma on Prince’s body when he was found unresponsive at his home, questions remain over the circumstances surrounding his death.
