In good shape to go against Hillary: Donald Trump

The presidential race in Pennsylvania is looking a lot less competitive after the latest Franklin and Marshall College Poll.

Pennsylvania’s Republican primary is unique in its rules and how it awards its delegates.

“We’re honored to have the strong support of 2.2 million passionate donors who have given more than 7 million times”, said Weaver. “Only Ted Cruz can beat Donald Trump”.

After resounding victories in the primaries of their home state of NY, presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have started turning their attention to the big fight in November, the general election. In fact, campaigns sent higher profile surrogates to ME, which was battling out how to distribute their delegates on the same day. There are 162 people on the primary ballot who are running to be a GOP convention delegate. The former secretary of state holds a 61% to 32% edge among women, compared to Sanders’ smaller 50% to 41% advantage with men.

Superdelegates are influential individuals in the Democratic Party that are free to choose their candidates regardless of primary results in their respective states.

Many delegate candidates are relatively anonymous, and some are better-known officeholders. The Texas conservative predicted a contested convention that many party loyalists fear could trigger an all-out Republican civil war.

“You can go in there and vote for Trump and vote for three delegates that are three votes against Trump”, said Rep. Lou Barletta, R-Pa., a state co-chairman of Trump’s campaign.

After winning big in NY this week, Clinton is holding onto a slim lead over Sanders in the Midwestern state. She leads Bernie Sanders by 13 percentage points in a new Monmouth University poll.

“After Tuesday night, Ted Cruz, like John Kasich, is now mathematically eliminated from securing enough delegates to be the Republican nominee, and what we want is everyone to support Donald Trump”, Lewandowski told Boyle.

Clinton will say anything to get elected.

“Our projections call for us to accumulate over 1,400 delegates and thus a first ballot nomination win in Cleveland”, the internal memo was quoted as saying. Many are remaining noncommittal, at least publicly. Just one-third said the delegates should select the candidate they think would be their best nominee. “I think that is the goal of being uncommitted”.
