McGregor on Thursday challenged the UFC to make it’s move.
“We gave Conor every opportunity in the world to get here”.
Conor McGregor has packed a punch on social media rather than inside a UFC cage.”I guess my work here is done I’m retiring too”, Diaz tweeted Tuesday.
Monday’s tweet appeared to give white credit for returning him to the fight card: “Happy to announce that I am BACK on UFC 200!”
As expected, Conor McGregor was not in attendance for today’s UFC 200 press conference in Las Vegas. [But] you can’t decide not to show up to these things. Although UFC chief Dana White has already ruled out the scheduled rematch citing McGregor’s failure to fulfill his promotional obligations as the main reason for the cancellation, the Stockton born fighter remains adamant that he will only face the Dublin native this summer. “I don’t have any interest in fighting at all”.
“It’s part of the job, it’s what we do here”, White said via Fox Sports. We get criticised a lot for bending too much to Conor – and we do.
One thing is sure, the MMA world will be in tremble on the upcoming UFC 200 and there is a high possibility that Conor McGregor will show up to prove himself once again. “It is going to happen”.
‘I would love to be the first guy to fight at UFC 100 and 200’.
Diaz put pressure on White to include McGregor on the bill by saying he would go on vacation if he didn’t get the chance to fight McGregor. “I am not yet paid to promote”. Of course, I do.
Diaz, on the other hand, who was left without an oppponent, revealed that he has no intention of fighting anyone else other than McGregor.
UFC officials have made no formal announcement – and this is the type of news they’d usually want to break themselves.
