Warriors look to advance, Clippers, Heat aim for home wins

He was the MVP of the 2013 Las Vegas Summer League championship game, scoring 33 points on a 7-for-10 three-point-shooting night for the Warriors. Without Curry, the Warriors may not be able to get pass the second round.

A few drops of sweat on a hardwood floor in Houston, Texas was all it took to stretch out the ligament of the reigning MVP, Stephen Curry, just enough to stab a metaphorical knife in to the hopes of the Golden State Warriors winning another National Basketball Association championship. Rockets star James Harden had 17 points and did not shoot a single free-throw attempt.

Now in the playoffs, Stephen Curry has just been sidelined two weeks, marking the longest amount of time he will miss the entire season due to a knee sprain, according to The Washington Post.

The Warriors have gotten viable production from the bench from the likes of Andre Iguodala, Marreese Speights, and Ian Clark.

The Warriors lead the series against the Rockets, 3-1, and unless the rest of the team collapses, they will win that series.

Being without Curry — who only played the equivalent of about three quarters in the series anyway — has forced Golden State to become very balanced. If either series gets pushed to a seventh game, the next round will begin on Tuesday May 3rd.

– Klay Thompson set the net on fire with his incredible 3rd quarter performance on Sunday, as he had 23 points in that game. Though the Warriors won Game 4, Curry sprained his knee while guarding Trevor Ariza at the first-half when he hit his knee on the floor. It’s a loss, right?

Green had a double-double in Game 2, with 12 points and 14 rebounds, along with eight assists. If Klay returns with an encore performance from Game 4, you can call this game a wrap. No game-day announcement about whether he will play or sit. More importantly, flashes of the talent that led to him being selected fourth overall were seen for the first time since he shattered his leg in 2007. And yet their 1-3 record against the Dubs showed a weakness that was sure to doom them in the Western Conference Finals. And an injured Clippers squad or the Trail Blazers are one thing; beating the Spurs or Oklahoma City Thunder is entirely another. For one reason or another, the Rockets just came out of the halftime break with no sense of urgency at all despite the game being locked up at 56-56. “I’m a competitor. Every guy on this team is a competitor”. Patrick Beverley, who left Game 4 because of a right hamstring strain, expects to play.
