Philadelphia expected to land 2017 NFL Draft, report says
The city recently also hosted the National Hockey League and MLS drafts. The NFL had also been considering the city of Los Angeles to host the draft as well after the Rams relocated there from St. Louis this offseason. But next year, the draft could be on the move once again.

The NFL Draft may be headed back to Philadelphia.
Philadelphia has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Chicago as host of the draft beginning in 2017, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Wednesday. Both cities do not have a pick in the first round. In exchange for the second pick, the Eagles agreed to send the following to the Browns: – 2016 first-round pick (No. 8 overall) – 2016 third-round pick (No. 77 overall) – 2016 fourth-round pick (No. 100 overall) – 2017 first-round pick and a 2018 second-round pick. So, no matter where the draft ends up taking place next year, the hometown team likely will not be making its first selection until the second day of the draft on that Friday (first round is on Thursday night). “It’s his right to demand a trade and he wants to be traded”, said Condon.

National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell previously stated the draft was “very likely” to leave Chicago after the city finished hosting the 2016 event, per Chris De Luca of the Chicago Sun-Times. In total, the Titans’ haul of draft picks carried a total value of 3,440 points, whereas the Rams’ return was valued at 3,088 points. They spent their in a trade with the Titans to get top billing in this year’s draft.
