Hillary Clinton to campaign Tuesday in northern Indiana

She hasn’t announced any Indianapolis stops, but the Clintons’ daughter Chelsea will visit the campaign office Friday.

At a steel manufacturing plant in Hammond earlier on the day, Clinton pledged, as president, to “make the steel industry’s survival one of my top priorities”.

Clinton also talked about rising student debt in America, and Hillary Clinton’s plan to let student loan recipients refinance their debt.

That’s essentially the message Clinton touted in IN on Tuesday afternoon at a steel-manufacturing company in front of an audience of workers and their families.

Hillary Clinton has proposed giving college graduates money to put towards student loans if they take jobs in public service after completing two years in AmeriCorps.

Hillary Clinton made her first campaign visit to IN in what she says is a symbolic setting.

The last time she ran for president, she was losing to Barack Obama late in the primary season when someone asked why she was staying in the race.

“She is competitive; there’s no doubt about that”, said Donald Fowler, a former Democratic National Committee chairman who’s close to Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton. Clinton’s aides have long expected her to expand her lead in delegates so much by next Tuesday that Sanders would not be able to catch up in the primary contest.

Giffords spent five years in the U.S. House of Representatives, resigning just one year after she was shot in the head at an event near Tuscon for her to meet with local constituents.

On Tuesday, Clinton didn’t name Sanders, but repeated a line she has used often against him.

“I get young Millenials don’t believe in this”, he said.

“The only issue I think that might be raised is that I see POTUS at least once a week while K saw Nixon every day”, Clinton wrote. Three presidential candidates are slated to make appearances in the Hoosier State Wednesday. “If not, who are we sending?” she asked an aide.
