Clinton surges to nomination with 4 more Northeast wins
In the GOP, Trump exceeded the already-high expectations for Tuesday. The real estate magnate has lost the battle for delegates in some states where he won the popular vote.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were the big winners Tuesday in the Northeast Primaries. The next crucial primary is scheduled in IN next Tuesday where Cruz and Trump have entered into a strategic alliance to prevent Trump from getting the required delegates.
“Whether you support Sen. Obama does W, Y, and Z maybe I’ll support him”, Clinton said.
TRUMP: She’s – she’s guilty. The crowd cheered at the pun, and a bumper sticker with the slogan was already on sale for $5 at Clinton’s website. He’s only been winning 38 percent.
“Almost every national poll and every state poll has us defeating Trump and that margin for us is significantly larger than Madam Secretary Clinton”, Sanders said.
Speaking after his sweep, and after making an appearance at the annual Time 100 gala in Manhattan, the Republican frontrunner reiterated his calls to rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich to get out of the race.
“This is a lot bigger win than we would have expected”. “It’s over. As far as I’m concerned it’s over”, he declared at his victory rally in the lobby of Trump Tower in NY. He noted that he had passed 60 percent in results from several states.
During his victory speech, Trump said he considers himself the “presumptive nominee” of the Republican party, despite being short of the delegates needed to claim the nomination.
Clinton, who has been looking to shake off Vermont Sen.
Cruz spoke on the floor of a almost 100-year-old basketball court where the 1986 film “Hoosiers” was shot. They have no path to victory at all…. “It’s whether the Democratic establishment is going to bring our party together by embracing our fight”, Chamberlain said. “And I’m a unifier”. His sweep raises the stakes for the anti-Trump effort in IN next week.
Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski offered a preview earlier Tuesday of how Trump will capitalize on his East Coast victories to build pressure on Republican rivals Cruz and Kasich to get out of the race. It also dealt a serious blow to the so-called “Never Trump” movement – an anti-Trump faction within the GOP that’s launched a campaign to stop the NY businessman from becoming the party’s nominee.
Cruz and Kasich are desperately trying to keep Trump from that magic number and push the race to a convention fight. “It is a collusion”, Trump said.
If those delegates hold to their informal promises, Trump could win most of Pennsylvania’s votes on the first round in Cleveland, said Charles Gerow, a conservative strategist also running to be a Pennsylvania delegate.
Cruz spent Tuesday in IN, which votes next week.
Cruz’s Pennsylvania chairman, Lowman Henry, said he had not noticed a ramp-up by Trump there.
But then Cruz said that the race would turn his way, in states such as Indiana: “Tonight this campaign moves back to more favorable terrain”.
Now, with this win, Trump’s chances of securing the Republican nomination before the party’s convention in July.
“Marco Rubio (who dropped out in March) has more delegates than Kasich”.

In campaign parlance, Kasich was “down” on Tuesday night; he was back in OH and did not make a public statement or speech.
