A spiked vest is designed by the lecturer of National University of Singapore. He was asked to design a something that helps the people not feel so cramped on public transport.
In a talk, the lecturer, Ming Cheng, said, “Trains are usually crowded during peak hours. Everybody will push each other to try and get onto the train. How can I protect my personal space? The idea was then conceived. ‘What if I wear a vest that is full of spikes?’”.
This vest is totally made up of plastic and hopefully available on all hardware shops. This vest can also be used to keep away birds and cats from your plants.

Although, this would be a nice invention for the only person who wears it, but not so nice to another who is next to him/her.
