New Legend Of Zelda Delayed – Also Coming to the Nintendo NX

The report also outlined Nintendo’s plans for this year’s E3, in which it will focus on the new “Legend of Zelda”, now slated to be a cross release with the new console next year.

As mentioned, Nintendo has revealed very little about the NX but according to a report in the Wall Street Journal, its next product will include “a mobile unit that could either be used in conjunction with the console or taken on the road for separate use”.

Of course, while welcoming the successor mysteriously codenamed Nintendo NX, the gaming community isn’t exactly shouting from the rooftops.

Unusually, the company made the announcement in its quarterly financial statement, telling shareholders: “For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is now developing a gaming platform codenamed “NX” with a brand-new concept”. This entry in the Zelda franchise, was originally shown off in 2014, with a scheduled 2016 release date, but was then pushed back to 2017.

First of all, “Pokémon Sun” and “Pokémon Moon” will indeed be released on the Wii U in late 2016, the company reiterated.

We still do not know when the game will be announced but Nintendo did say that they will reveal more this year.

And it’s expected that the NX will out-power the PS4 and Xbox One with an AMD chipset, which will probably mean the next generation console will also feature a price hike from its unpopular Wii U. We’ve been promised a simultaneous release across both platforms, but the company is not willing to shed any more details at this point.
