Republican voters in the 10th Legislative District will choose between New Beaver, Lawrence County, businessman and farmer Aaron Bernstine, Central Valley High School teacher Dawnlyn Valli of North Sewickley Township and Clifford Glovier, a Heritage Valley Health System fundraising administrator from Beaver Falls, and send one against unopposed incumbent Democratic state Rep. Jaret Gibbons of Franklin Township in the fall.

Polls opened at 6 a.m. and are scheduled to close at 8 p.m.
The primary election also will decide contests for party nominees for U.S. Senate, 18 U.S. House seats, state attorney general and 228 state legislative seats. Clinton won Pennsylvania by about 200,000 votes, or 9 percent.
John Marion of Common Cause Rhode Island says the state should limit how many voters are assigned to each polling place. Among those exceptions is Bernie Sanders, the senator from Vermont who was elected to Congress as an independent and who is running this year for the Democratic presidential nomination. In Hamburg, Laura Seyler, a 63-year-old buyer for a direct marketer, voted for Trump because he’s a “bully” and “will take the bat and straighten things out”. A lesser known Democratic presidential candidate, Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente, is also on the ballot.
On the Republican side of the presidential primary, billionaire developer Donald Trump has topped opinion polls heading into the election, followed by Texas Sen.
Nearly 60,000 registered Democrats switched to the Republican Party in Pennsylvania this year, according to state voter rolls. Secretary of the State Denise Merrill said anyone who has problems at the polls should call the state’s election hotline at 866-SEEC-INFO or email [email protected]. His opponents, Ted Cruz and John Kasich, had devised a public plan to try to stop Trump’s momentum by attempting to split the votes in the remaining primaries.
“If you vote on that line, you are allowing the delegates from CT to do whatever they want, go to the convention uncommitted to any one candidate”.
Last week’s Quinnipiac University Poll showed Donald Trump leading among likely Republican primary voters and Hillary Clinton leading among likely Democratic primary voters.
On the Democratic side, the 127 delegates up for grabs in the primary are apportioned based on the vote in each congressional district, which could deliver a significant delegate haul for Clinton.
“I’m hearing from a lot of Republicans in New Haven and beyond that they’re planning to go vote in the primary and, quite frankly, there’s no question they’ll be turning out”, he said Monday. Other hotly contested matches in Pennsylvania Tuesday include the race for U.S. Senate.
In the attorney general’s race, three Democrats and two Republicans are running to succeed Democrat Kathleen Kane.
