Catch Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ at movie theaters in Huntsville
Hoosiers wanting to celebrate the life of Prince now can with the viewing of the iconic rock-star’s film “Purple Rain“.

Demand for “Purple Rain” has reportedly prompted AMC Theaters and Warner Bros.to expand screenings of the film to more than 200 theaters nationwide as fans continue to mourn the Purple One’s passing.
“A victim of his own anger, the Kid (Prince) is a Minneapolis musician on the rise with his band, the Revolution, escaping a tumultuous home life through music”.
Put on by Cineplex Events, one dollar from every ticket will be donated to MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS).
The brainchild of Prince himself and shaped by then-newbie director Albert Magnoli, Purple Rain helped catapult the attention-getting young singer-songwriter and musician to global stardom in the summer of 1984.

Theaters in Memphis are honoring Prince with screenings of his 1984 film “Purple Rain“.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams has announced that he will host a celebration of Prince, the global music icon who passed away last week at the age of 57, this Friday at Fort Greene Park.
