There’s a new career mode with a 12-event Showcase Tour.
Sim-racer Forza Motorsport is debuting on PC next week, with Forza Motorsport 6: Apex coming to Windows 10 in Open beta, Microsoft and developer Turn 10 Studios announced today.
Also featured in Forza Motorsport 6: Apex are new mechanics, including a new Race Points system that rewards gamers for turning off assists, which will develop their racing skills and prepare them for even harder challenges. Turn 10 promises the open beta will run on a variety of gaming computers, so you won’t need to have top tier hardware in order to enjoy the experience.

Taking to Xbox Wire with the announcement, Turn 10 Community Manager Brian Ekberg says, “Crafted specifically for Windows 10, Apex represents the critical first step in the future of the Forza franchise as it expands onto Windows 10 PCs”. As development continues, players can expect to see updates and improvements including wheel support, the ability to disable Vsync and an in-app frame-rate counter. Apex will mark the series’ arrival on Windows 10 PCs, expanding the action to a new set of gamers. The game will also come with a new list of Xbox Live achievements for players to earn. Microsoft said it will add a selection of curated livery designs from the Forza painting community to the auto select flow via an early beta update. However the Windows 10 title won’t feature online multiplayer. Following the beta release on May 5, we invite players to download the game and get involved.
