Eagles get quarterback Carson Wentz at No. 2 overall

A lot of the stories are going to revolve around the players who did not go, or who fell, but there were certainly plenty of National Football League teams who landed impact players on Thursday night. “Obviously it’s a great place for a young quarterback to go learn with all the quarterback knowledge they have there and like you said to know that they believed in me that much to go up it’s really exciting and I’m looking forward to it”.

After a pair of blockbuster trades to move the now-Los Angeles Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles to the top of the draft, Jared Goff of California and Carson Wentz of North Dakota State are expected to be the first names off the board. With their three’s-a-crowd scenario seemingly untenable, Bradford’s agent has asked the Eagles to trade his client.

The Broncos remain active in the quarterback market. I think that with the second and third-round coming, I think they’ll make a trade for Kaepernick or Bradford.

No matter what happens on Friday and Saturday, though, it appears the Eagles will at least get a considerable glimmer of hope for the future in the form of the second overall pick.

Wentz, nearly too good to be true, has hurdles ahead.

Tom Condon said he has informed the Philadelphia Eagles that Sam Bradford will not show up at the organization’s practice facility until June 7, which fall in the first day of mandatory minicamp.

North Dakota State coach Chris Klieman told the New York Times that in an era of no-huddle spread offenses in college football, Wentz comes out of a pro-style offense that will be a lot like what he runs for coach Doug Pederson in Philadelphia.

“I don’t know how you send a guy out here”, Tucker said.

“The biggest thing I present is that I’m a victor”, Wentz said Wednesday. “How do you do that?”

There is a connection between Reid’s first pick as the Eagles head coach and Pederson’s first selection of the NFL Draft, each coach took a quarterback.
