Kelly Ripa returns to ‘Live!’ and Michael Strahan

“The love, the show of support through this freaky time has been really overwhelming”. “This is a tremendous opportunity and I couldn’t be – we couldn’t be – prouder of you, and everything we accomplished together”.

One of the most common disgusted comments is that Ripa makes a reported $15 million a year for “Live!” – so who cares that she’s upset about a little thing like her co-host leaving?

Though the atmosphere seemed to have returned to normal between Ripa and Strahan, People reports that Strahan’s last day on “Live!” will be Friday, May 13. “This plan also allows GMA to start integrating Michael into the show more often this summer before his full-time start in September”.

Speculation quickly centered on CNN’s Cooper, particularly after Ripa was photographed on Tuesday leaving her home while carrying a copy of the just-released book he wrote with his mother, Gloria Vanderbilt.

“I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information”, Ripa stated an email to the staff of “Live“, which has been acquired by Deadline. The news of his departure is still fairly fresh, with Kelly Ripa and the rest of the world only finding out he would be moving to Good Morning America full time last week.

She also congratulated her co-host on his new job, saying she’s “thrilled” for him. “Unless one of them can come on, she doesn’t really want to do it”, the Us source claimed.

“Once (the show) got underway, it was attractive”, she said.

But that wasn’t the mood behind the scenes between the two co-hosts before the show aired, according to a guest.

Before he starred in the action comedy “Keanu” and on the sketch show “Key and Peele”, Keegan-Michael Key was a Second City performer who showed off his improv skills in a 2003 episode of “Live with Regis and Kelly”. “Then everybody went out and the show started, and everybody remembers that we’re grownups and we have jobs and we do our jobs”.

“After 26 years with this company, I earned the right”, Ripa said, as she explained her absence to viewers during Tuesday’s show. I don’t know. I just don’t see how you leave the greatest team in TV to be one of five people’.
