Alabama assistant coach resigns amid cloud of recruiting violations

The announcement comes amid reports of investigations by the University and the NCAA into possible recruiting violations. He did return to Alabama in 2014 and signed a one-year extension in June that saw his contract run through 2017.

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has released a statement regarding the resignation of defensive line coach Bo Davis. He stayed through 2010 before leaving for the same position at Texas, where he stayed for three seasons. He was an All-SEC player at LSU and first linked up with Saban as a strength coach for the Miami Dolphins.

In a predictably unenlightening statement regarding Davis’ resignation, HC Nick Saban said, “Bo Davis has submitted his letter of resignation”.

Davis has been credited not only with developing one of the best defensive lines in the country but recruiting the players who have gone on to become top selections in the NFL Draft.

“Bo does a really good job. Hope they can keep improving and keep playing and keep having an impact on the game”. “I love that man”.
