Kelly Ripa getting ready for return to ‘Live’

As Radar extensively reported, co-host Kelly Ripa was furious with show executives when Strahan, 44, announced his plans to leave Live! after four years without informing her first.

Sure enough, the next day, Kelly Ripa was mysteriously absent from the show that she’s hosted for the last 15 years.

Kelly Ripa returned to co-hosting “Live!” with Michael Strahan on Tuesday.

“He’ll take the summer off and GMA can integrate him early before September, and this will give Live! more time to find the co-host”, a source tells People.

Even though Strahan pushed up his departure date to mid-May – from September – how can a TV show that’s all about being Happy Happy Happy continue when everyone knows that Mommy and Daddy don’t like each other anymore?

Kelly Ripa has dominated the entertainment news cycle for the last week after she walked off “Live!”.

Kelly Ripa may find herself with a female co-host as Live! transitions to a new era.

She hasn’t addressed her absence, which came after she was told shortly after Tuesday’s show about Strahan’s switch. She is really close with Anderson and Andy and she loves them. More report from E Online revealed that Rita faced much scrutiny but she rebutted by saying, “I really needed a couple of days to gather my thoughts”. “After 26 years with this company, I earned the right”, she said, speaking to the audience while stepping aside from Strahan. I wear it all the time.

“(Sorry for this late Friday night email)”, she said in the email.

“It started a much greater conversation about communication and consideration and, most importantly, respect in the workplace”, Rita added on to note.

Since we’re being honest, I don’t consider this just a workplace; This is my second home.

Yet the network surely didn’t anticipate the drama would play out in the media or how it would raise questions about when – or if – Ripa would return.

While ABC is considering O’Connell, Ripa seems to be “meh” on him. Cooper’s name has been circulating as a possible replacement for Michael Strahan on the morning talk show, “Live!”.

Ripa has said nothing about who or what she wants.

It all unfolded as Ripa took the spotlight for an out-of-sorts opening monologue marking her return to daytime television.
