A statement was released shortly after the ceremony took place from publicist Anna Meachem which read, “A few hours ago, Prince was celebrated by a small group of his most beloved: family, friends and his musicians, in a private, handsome ceremony to say a loving goodbye”. It would be for the fans.

On Saturday afternoon, Prince’s family members were seen among the mourners at the makeshift memorial, reporter Nancy Rosenbaum tells NPR, including Prince’s brother-in-law, Maurice Phillips, who greeted visitors.
Employees at the Electric Fetus record shop in Minneapolis said the musician did not look “in the best shape” when he visited the store five days before he was found at his Paisley Park estate.

Prince was cremated yesterday and remembered in a private memorial service with family and friends.
Besides opening his 65,000-square-foot Paisley Park recording complex in 1987 in Chanhassen, a town of nearly 23,000 people about 20 miles southwest of Minneapolis, Prince also owned a lot of undeveloped land in the suburb, Mayor Denny Laufenburger said.
On Sunday evening, Carver County Chief Deputy Jason Kamerud sent an update to the press regarding the mystery that still surrounds Prince’s cause of death.
Phillips is married to Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson, who has 2 sons called Sir and President.

Recently deceased music icon, Prince is set to join the likes of Elvis Presley whose homes have been turned to a memorabilia following their demise.
“Prince wasn’t normal like the regular person, he could function on a lot less sleep than most people”, Gordon said.
Sheila E. said that Prince’s family was taking his passing hard, although they attempted to be strong.
