ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Tampa Bay is back at.

Dominguez was slated to play third base on Tuesday, but spent time playing first in Buffalo.

This was the second time McCutchen has gone deep three times in a game. They managed just four hits on Wednesday (Josh Donaldson had two, including a double) and four on Tuesday.

The Orioles have dropped four of five games, with their bats unable to solve Rays pitching, at least with runners in scoring position. He is 1-2 with a 4.25 ERA in five outings at Camden Yards. Right-hander R.A. Dickey (1-3) allowed eight hits, including two home runs, plus one walk and six runs in six-plus innings. The left-hander retired seven straight batters on three separate occasions. Estrada allowed three runs and three hits in 6 2/3 innings and is winless in three starts.

In the last two games of this series, the Blue Jays scored one run, total. The Reds have lost three straight and 11 of their last 15. Quintana powered through some jams and worse-than-usual control to strike out 10 Blue Jays over six shutout innings, and then watched his teammates continue their seventh-inning success.

A native of Paducah, KY, Webb has finished six games for the Knights this season and has tossed 10.2 innings for the club.

The hit came off Carlos Estevez (0-1), who made his third appearance in the majors and was working his second inning. Franco came up limping after the hit but stayed in the game. The longest errorless streak of a Blue Jays shortstop is 65 days, accomplished by Tony Fernandez between June 10 and August 26, 1988. He hit 124 at old Yankee Stadium and now has 100 at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Texas improved to 11-10 going into Wednesday afternoon’s rubber game of the three-game series.

Elsewhere, the Los Angeles Angels beat the Kansas City Royals 9-4, and the San Francisco Giants won 1-0 against the San Diego Padres.

Navarro, a lumbering runner, rarely hits triples. Shut out for the first time this season.

Adam Warren (2-0) worked two relief innings and struck out three to pick up the win for the Cubs. Toronto ranks in the top five at fourth with 77.

MINNEAPOLIS – Miguel Sano’s RBI single with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted Minnesota to a win over Cleveland at Target Field.

Navarro’s hit drove in Melky Cabrera and Brett Lawrie – both former Blue Jays themselves – to give Chicago a 2-0 lead.

White Sox: LHP Jose Quintana (2-1, 1.82) puts his ideal record in Toronto on the line. The Sox didn’t have a great opportunity until the sixth, when Estrada foreshadowed his decreasing effectiveness by issuing back-to-back walks with one out.
