OnePlus 3 could have a huge amount of RAM
OnePlus 3, the upcoming “flagship killer” from the Chinese manufacturer OnePlus, hasn’t been officially announced yet, but according to rumors the new device will be confirmed by the company in May and released a few weeks later.

We’re still not exactly sure what we’re going to get with the OnePlus 3.
The latest leaks coming from China point to a OnePlus 3 smartphone that packs more than the average Windows PC RAM.
The smartphone is rumored to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with Adreno 530 GPU and several memory options. While initial leaks indicated that OnePlus 3 would feature 4GB of RAM, another benchmark listing now hints at a model coded as “Rain Rain” featuring 6GB of RAM.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei had stated earlier this year that OnePlus 3 is expected to launch at the end of the second quarter of 2016, so a May or June release seems pretty likely. In addition, the leaks reveal that the phone will come in two variants differentiated primarily by the amount of RAM on board. The OnePlus 2, for a comparison, uses the Snapdragon 810 chip featuring an octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM (for the 64GB storage variant). Now, the brand is said to working on its next offering the OnePlus 3 (A3000) and has been in the limelight ever since it was earlier spotted on AnTuTu with high-end specifications.
Unlike the OnePlus 2, hopes are high that the next flagship will come with a microSD card slot.
Moving on, a separate benchmark at Antutu seems to suggest something entirely different in the RAM department – it’s showing 6GB instead of 4GB. As indicated by the listing, it shows the size of the screen – 5-inch with Full HD display. We will have to wait for the official announcement that can happen in the next couple of months.

The handset is supposedly running an updated Android 6.0-based Oxygen OS and features a metal body and fingerprint sensor.
