Prince was found dead Thursday at his suburban Minneapolis compound at age 57.
A cause of death for the “Purple Rain star” has not been released.
The sheriff also said that officers did not use narcan, which is administered when someone is overdosing on opiates.
“Staff members from Paisley Park had been unable to contact Prince yesterday morning and went to check on him”.
He said Prince was last seen at 8pm the night before his death when he was dropped off at Paisley Park. Olson said that he believes that Prince was alone when he died. He came out and addressed the crowd and asked us, “Hey, if you hear any more news, give it a couple days before you start wasting prayers” and we all thought, “Okay, you know, all is good” and he was very happy.
Bound by the necessity to keep many details surrounding Prince’s death confidential as the investigation is ongoing, Olson explained, “This case is 29 hours old and it continues to evolve”.
In light of reports that Prince possibly suffered from a drug overdose or the complications of a previous drug overdose, Olson said that he wouldn’t comment on any medications Prince was taking, nor his health.
Prince’s death followed a series of canceled shows and a reported emergency plane landing for medical treatment.
“There were no obvious signs of trauma to the body that we observed”, he said. He said at this point, it is unclear how long Prince was in the elevator before he was found. Prince’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, later confirmed that the music icon had died at his home. She says Prince was special and “he was ours”.
“This is certainly a big event internationally and nationally, and I can tell you that we are going to leave no stone unturned with this and make sure the public knows what happened”, Olson said at a news conference. She says she tried to copy what he did to stay fit.
Weaver said the autopsy was conducted Friday morning, and the full results will take several weeks, which is not unusual. The autopsy began at 9 a.m. CDT and was completed by Dr. A. Quinn Strobl at 1:00 p.m. local time. As part of a complete exam, relevant information regarding Mr. Nelson’s medical and family history will be gathered.
Prince’s body was released to his family Friday afternoon after an autopsy was performed earlier in the day. He said his deputies have been carrying the drug for two years. Litman owns his own company and also is executive producer for concerts at the Fox.
Prince had canceled other Atlanta shows recently, reportedly for the flu.

On Saturday night at Paisley Park, Prince threw a dance party and made a brief appearance to assure people he was fine.
