Klopp looks for Anfield atmosphere in second leg of Europa League tie
Germany legend Lothar Matthaus feels if things go according to plan Jurgen Klopp has the ability to turn Liverpool into Premier League title contenders next season.

After the second leg in over Dortmund, there is confidence in the Liverpool dressing room of a similarly spectacular display of passion and off the park affecting the Villarreal players. That’s part of the game. Everyone knows it and it should not happen. “We’d just had a great moment with Alberto Moreno and Benteke had a header, and maybe the youth came through”.
The 26-year-old England worldwide and Liverpool centre-forward, Daniel Sturridge has hit out at his German boss, Jurgen Klopp stating the fact that he needs more starts for the Anfield-based club.
Now Jurgen Klopp is looking ahead to the return leg next Thursday as his side attempts to overturn the first-leg deficit. “My first thought when everyone was celebrating around me was “sorry, this is not over yet, you still have to come to Anfield, too”.
Liverpool lost Philippe Coutinho to illness at half-time and Klopp opted for Jordon Ibe, and later Christian Benteke, as his substitutes rather than Sturridge. Television scheduling dictates that such kick-offs are not uncommon, although Liverpool manager Klopp is clearly upset at having to start so early as he carefully plots his team selection. It [the substitution] was not really for attacking.
“We could have let him play in the first few weeks, hoping he could do something special, but that would not have been the right decision for him because then he would have been injured again”. I don’t know and so it is not too important. “Was it the right decision to choose this line-up?”
However, Marcelino insisted Villarreal were deserved winners.
The Kop midfielder explained the team’s disappointment in the aftermath of their 1-0 defeat by Villarreal last night. There were a few points in the game when you could see this and we had to defend and find stability.
“I think we know how intensive the game will be and we have to think about this and not the result”.
“Please don’t compare everything with (Borussia) Dortmund, but things are possible and 1-0 is not the biggest result in the world”.
“Then it’s finished, I don’t have to think about it”.
“The manager told us: “do not worry”.

“They are strong in counterattacks and we have to score at home”. “It will be a completely different game”. I’m up there shouting and waving them forward.
