His teenage brother, who had spoken with investigators earlier in the week, was also later identified as a suspect and was arrested Wednesday, police said.

Shamima and Golam Rabbi were found fatally shot Sunday in their home on a quiet cul de sac in San Jose. The couple’s slaying has shocked residents in their upscale neighborhood.

A message written in ink on the hardwood floor beside their bodies said: “Sorry, my first kill was clumsy”. The message on the wall indicated that the killer didn’t want to be like the deceased noting that “I can’t love someone” and not tell them.

In a jailhouse interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, Bin Golam Rabbi said the real story behind the murders will become known.

“The best thing if anyone wants to know what happened is to wait for the trial”, said Hasib Golamrabbi told the newspaper.

A cousin, Nafees Hasan, said the family hadn’t spoke on the matter, but if true, the “family wouldn’t have accepted that”.

Sun Jose police said there is no other suspect for this murder.

The younger brother, who attended classes at Evergreen Valley High School on Monday, was described by his 16-year-old classmate as being quiet and keeping mostly to himself, according to the Associated Press.

Police had released no further details about the killings.

When asked if the teenager was involved, Hasib said, “No, and that’s all I can say”.

After the brothers were arrested Wednesday, they offered somewhat conflicting accounts over how their parents were killed. Friends and relatives discovered the bodies of the couple Sunday, after trying to contact them for several days.

Hasib was being held without bail at the Santa Clara County Jail Friday, while the 17-year-old was being held at juvenile hall.

Guire said police found writing on the walls of the home, one set of which was consistent with Omar Golamrabbi’s writing that investigators found in a notebook.

He said that he had not witnessed his mother being killed, and also insisted that his brother was completely innocent, the Daily News reported.

‘I just said be careful.

Rahim, who said he knew Golam and Shamima Rabbi for over 20 years, said he did not sense anything amiss with them when he last saw them about a month ago.

The Rabbis were longtime members and volunteers with the South Bay Islamic Association and the Evergreen Islamic Center in San Jose.

The sons were not home when friends and relatives, anxious because they had been unable to reach the husband and wife, arrived at the family’s house.
