The quintessentially British company has unveiled The Wraith Luggage Collection, which is a set of bags only available through Rolls Royce dealerships.
The collection was brought to life by Rolls-Royce designer, Michael Bryden, and has been crafted to be housed perfectly in the rear compartment of the $645,000 vehicle.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce, spoke about the design and how the company continues to follow Henry Royce’s Manifesto, “Take the best that exists, and make it better”.
The design engineers at the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Design Studio consulted with the top butlers of the most prestigious worldwide hotel chains to refine the styling and features of the Wraith collection.
Each of the bags features a figurine of the “Spirit of Ecstasy”, the emblem that defines a Rolls-Royce. “When it does not exist, design it”.
“Not satisfied with creating a contemporary luggage collection with all the hallmarks of true luxury, the design team have gone one step further, in creating a bespoke collection that not only speaks of contemporary elegance, but also serves to be a pleasure to use”, he said. The stitching is matched to the color of buyers’ Rolls-Royces, and the handles have an invisible stitch to ensure a smooth finish.

That’s why, for instance, the wheels on the cases – just like on Rolls-Royce cars – are self-righting, with the RR badge never changing its position. It has been designed specifically to fit into the Rolls Royce Wraith like jigsaw pieces and, as can be expected, it comes with a hefty price tag – £24,248 for the set.
