Prince George Stays Up Past His Bedtime to Greet Obama

– It has been a very eventful Royal visit for President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama.

Prince William and his wife Kate and brother Prince Harry hosted President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle for dinner at the Kensington Palace in London.

Duchess Kate and Prince William invited the Obamas to Kensington Palace for a casual dinner on Friday evening, and Prince George – wearing seriously cute gingham pyjamas and a monogrammed white robe – was there to meet them in the foyer.

Later, photos showed the Obamas with the young royals in a palace sitting room, chatting animatedly as a stuffed toy Portuguese Water Dog (the breed the Obamas’ own) rested nearby.

George, who turns 3 in July, was allowed to stay up late for the special occasion, but his 11-month-old sister sister, Princess Charlotte was tucked in bed. Prince Harry was also present for the Obamas’ visit to Kensington Palace, for dinner during their state visit to the United Kingdom. Obama has to get down to his level to greet him.

The two-year-old royal has already met some of the world’s most famous people in his short life and his cuteness has certainly won many hearts.

George offers Mr Obama a firm handshake.

In the photo, Obama is pictured squatting to George’s height, interacting with the smallest Prince (nice form, Obama!). Prince George, dressed in pajamas, bathrobe and slippers, seems a bit confused and is looking over at dad Prince William.

In one of the photos the president is speaking with Prince William and Michelle Obama is talking to Prince Harry as Kate Middleton knelt down to help Prince George onto the horsey.

The rocking horse was a gift from the Obamas when he was born.

“Should we be fortunate enough to reach 90, may we be as vibrant as she is”, Obama said.
