Scooby Wright III, who was once considered to be one of the top linebackers in college football, had to be pretty nervous as he watched the 2016 NFL Draft unfold. Wright, a three-year letter victor, became Arizona’s sixth unanimous All-American during his sophomore season in 2014.
Despite a season for the ages in 2014 – when he won multiple national awards and accumulated an absurd 29 tackles for losses, including 14 sacks – Wright struggled to gain traction with NFL teams.
Wright quickly was filled with glee, jumping into a pool outside of the house hosting his draft watching party.
Wright missed most of last season because of foot and knee injuries.
Team captain with great instincts and tremendous production at Major League Baseball despite below-average pass coverage ability. No team will have more playing-time opportunities for young, hungry players than Cleveland.

Wright is the second player from Arizona taken in this year’s draft.
