IPL 2016: Murali Vijay handed Kings XI Punjab captaincy, David Miller relegated
After the initial flip-flop, the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) has agreed to consider the request of Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) to host three of its home matches of Indian Premium League (IPL) at Dharamshala Cricket Stadium. Punjab have also faltered as a team and are languishing at the bottom of the points table with just one win from the six games. The Lions have established quite a lead over most of the other teams with six wins from seven outings.

Apart from his failure as the captain, Miller has struggled to contribute as a batsman as well.
HPCA public relations officer Sanjay Sharma said that after waiting for HP government’s reply for the last nine days, Kings XI Punjab wrote a letter yesterday to Rajeev Shukla and said they want their three matches to be played in Mohali now and not Dharamsala. His form in the IPL season has also been ordinary – 143 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 113.50. Despite having a bunch of big names like Murali Vijay, Shaun Marsh, David miller and Glenn Maxwell, they have only won one game so far. But the rest of the batting line-up has been a disappointment. Mitchell Johnson in particular has been a disappointment, while his replacement Kyle Abbott has not played well either.
Probable Playing XI: Dwayne Smith, Brendon McCullum, Suresh Raina (C), Dinesh Karthik (wk), Akshdeep Nath, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, James Faulkner, Praveen Kumar, Dhawal Kulkarni, Shivil Kaushik.
