The 33-year-old Stuard, winless on the PGA Tour, continued his steady play with two birdies Some players were able to begin the third round on Saturday before thunderstorms swept through the area, but the leaders haven’t teed off.
However, half the field will have to complete the second round on Saturday after almost five hours of play was wiped out by thunderstorms on Thursday, and those late starters include Australian world number one Jason Day who opened with a 69.
AUSTRALIA’S Jason Day returns to tournament golf after a short break this week and has pinpointed a bad attitude during his last showing for throwing away his chance at a third PGA Tour title this season.
All of the afternoon starters were still on the course when play was stopped for the evening. Kizzire (67-70) and Aiken (68-69) finished, while Bergerhad five holes left, and Rodgers 11 to play. He parred the par-3 third hole before play was halted. “We definitely don’t take our time that we spend together for granted”.
It’s been odd seeing Rickie Fowler play golf with a shirt and shoes on.
“I feel pretty good with my swing, ” Ji said. The Australian said the stop-and-start nature of the tournament can makes things hard, but he’s pleased with the way he’s played through two rounds. “I just tried to be a little too aggressive, and I pulled it”.
South Korean players held the next four spots on the leaderboard.
“The first hole I saved a good par and I think that gave me momentum”, said Otto, who has been working on his putting game.
Brooke Henderson topped the group at 5 under after a 68.
His flawless start was jolted however down the stretch with two bogeys on his 10th and 13th holes, either side of a sixth birdie, checking his progress.
She missed just one fairway and one green Thursday.
The Australian could not mirror his performance on his back nine, though, as he had a much more turbulent time, recording two birdies and four bogeys.

“You nearly have more chance of defending than you do winning because you’re coming in on good memories, you’re coming in on a course that you feel comfortable on”. The event is sanctioned by the European and OneAsia tours.
