Obama gets one more chance to zing official Washington
President Barack Obama speaks at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington, Saturday, April 30, 2016.

He added: “And there’s one area where Donald’s experience could be invaluable, and that’s closing Guantanamo – because Trump knows a thing or two about running waterfront properties into the ground”. But he’s been meeting foreign leaders: “Miss Sweden, Miss Argentina, Miss Azerbaijan”.
Interestingly, he was able to mock Donald Trump and Ted Cruz at first without even saying their names; instead, he just showed their pictures.
“The end of the republic has never looked better”, the tuxedo-clad president said looking out at the well-groomed crowd as he blasted Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus. After all, Mike was a big city mayor, he knows policy in-depth. “Earn me some serious Tubmans”. “There’s a level of detachment and a level of understanding about what’s going on, like, “this is kind of weird that the president is up here in a tux making jokes” – all of his humor has that element baked into it”.
The outgoing President took the opportunity to roast Republican front-runner Donald Trump over a high heat. “Here we are, my eighth and final address at this unique event, and I am excited”.
“Next year at this time, someone else will be standing here in this very spot”.
The 33-year-old “Quantico” star, who is now shooting in the USA for the bigscreen “Baywatch” reboot, dazzled the last evening’s affair in a deep-cut, black and sheer-stripe gown.
He noted that on his recent trip to Great Britain, he had lunch with the queen, saw a Shakespeare performance and played golf with Prime Minister David Cameron.
This year’s WHCD was also Obama’s last.
“After eight years in the White house, Mr. President, we’re really going to miss Michelle”.
Turning to the contest among those vying to replace him, the president introduced Bernie Sanders.
“Bernie, you look like a million bucks. Or, to put it in terms you will understand, you look like 37,000 donations of $27 each”, Obama said, a reference to the flood of small contributions to Sanders’ insurgent campaign.

Earlier, he gave a shot out at Sanders, the Senator from Vermont, the only presidential candidate at the dinner.
